Ajax systems are completely wireless. That means no cables running through your walls, no drilling, and no mess during installation. The entire system communicates using Jeweller — Ajax's own encrypted radio protocol — which gives a communication range of up to 2,000 metres and protects against jamming and interception.
A standard Ajax alarm kit includes a hub (the control panel that connects to your internet), motion detectors, door/window contact sensors, a key fob for easy arming and disarming, and a siren. Depending on your property, we may recommend additional sensors such as glass-break detectors, smoke detectors, or outdoor motion sensors.
The hub connects to your home broadband via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, and can also use a SIM card as a backup connection. This means even if your internet goes down, the system stays online and keeps protecting you.
Everything is managed through the free Ajax Security System app. From the app you can arm and disarm your system with one tap, view the status of every sensor, check event history, receive instant alerts, and even set up automation scenarios. The app is available on iPhone, Android, and desktop.
